Eli Rader was born April 3, 1819, and departed this live, May 19, 1898, aged 79 years, 1 month, and 16 days.
He was baptized in infancy by Rev. Philip Henkel, confirmed to the church in his youthful days by Rev. George Easterly. He was married to Mary M. Neas Aug. 19, 1841. The result of this union were 11 children, six sons and five daughters. Mr. Rader lived a consistent Christian life. He was careful and persistent in the training of his children, all of which became active members of the church. One of his sons is a minister in the Mo. Synod. The writer preached a funeral discourse from Ps. 17, 15. J.C.B.
