Ruth L. Davis, the youngest child of John and Minnie Roberson, was born on Nov. 4, 1905, at their country farm home in Jewell County, Kansas, where she grew to young adulthood. She became a Christian in her grade school days, and as she grew older was faithful in youth work and Sunday School teaching.
After four years of public school teaching, she was married to Denzil Davis in 1927. To this union was born their daughter, Norma. After farming in Kansas they moved to Idaho in 1937 where they farmed and ran a dairy. Ruth went back to teaching and was later joined by her husband. They taught together for several years, 12 of which were in the Nampa Christian School system.
They retired in 1969 and in 1980 moved to SunBridge Ret. Ctr. where they made their home. Denzil preceded her in death in 1994 and she continued to make her home at SunBridge.
Ruth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Randall Emry, Talent, OR; grandchildren, Daniel, Roger, Linda and Teresa; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two nephews, Arlen and Delmar Roberson and their families in Kansas and many friends at SunBridge.
