She was born in New York. They have four children by this marriage: George, Harlow, Alfred and Russel. Owns 597 acres of land in Mckee Twp., worth $12,000.00. Mr. H. also carries on a store, and has for twenty years supplied the surrounding country; keeps a general assortment of goods necessary to supply the "rade" Democrat.

John Hoffman, an early and old resident of Adams Co., is dead. His home was near Kellerville and he was the father of nineteen children. He died-Saturday evening, aged 73 years and 12 days. He was born in Salem Co., New Jersery, and came to Adams Co. in 1842. Here he has made his home as a farmer ever since, except for some years he was engaged in mercantile business with his son Henry, at Big Neck. He was for years a sufferor from asthma. He leaves a wife, Thirteen children, a brother, and many grand children to mourn the loss of a kind and honored friend.
