POLLARD - Harry J. Pollard, 52, Winnebago, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 1971 in Rockford Memorial Hospital after an apparent heart attack. Born March 8, 1919 in Seward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Pollard. Lived most of his life in Winnebago area. Married to the former Doris Rose in Burritt Township Oct. 11, 1942. Farmed in the area until his death. Member of First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago, where he was an elder; member of Winnebago County Farm Bureau; and president of Winnebago Cemetery Association. Survivors include: his widow, Doris; a daughter, Harriet E., DeKalb; a son, Walter J. at home; a brother, Ray J., Rockford; two sisters, Mrs. Delmar (Vera) Traum and Mrs. Edward (Bernice) Makulec, both of Rockford; several nieces and nephews.

Services at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church, Winnebago with the Rev. William E. Butler, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial in Winnebago Cemetery. Friends may call at Burpee-Wood Funeral Home, 420 N. Main St., from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions to be sent to the family.
