William S "Billy" Wandless, 69, a resident of Eagle Pointe Nursing Center, died there on Jan 17, 2002.
He was born May 12, 1932 in Parkersburg, a son of the late William A and Freda Belle Givens Wandless. (He was mentally handicapped but led a full and active life.) He enjoyed attending church services at the Sunrise Church of Christ and at the nursing home.
He is survived by one sister, Ada Louise "Sis" Mercer Mannozzi of Parkersburg and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Gladys Virginia Wandless, Carrie "Polly" McFee, Freda "Bea" Poyet, Betty Beckett, and Virgie Callihan;and 4 infant brothers, William, William Jr, Glen Harold and Herman Eugene Wandless.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Kimes Funeral Home. Evangelist Steve Poyet will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt Olivet Cemetery.
