Adeline Reidenbach dies Tuesday night

Mrs. Adeline S. Reidenbach, 83, of 1215 W. Madison street, wife of Wilbur L. Reidenbach, was dead on arrival at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday at the Adams county memorial hospital. She had been in failing health for the past several years.

Mrs. Reidenbach was a member of the Zion Lutheran church, Missionary society and the Needle club.

She was born in Union township on Oct. 10, 1889, the daughter of Henry and Christine Bleeke-Bischoff, and was married to Wilbur L. Reidenbach on Dec. 23, 1910. They were married 62 years.

Surviving are the husband; seven children, Mrs. Anthony (Henrietta) Burkhardt of New Orleans, La.; Mrs. Wanda Baker of route 1; Mrs. George (Florence) Smith, and Mrs. Robert (Francile) Hall, both of Decatur; Henry of Fort Wayne; Paul of route 4; and Don of Decatur; 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. One son, Herbert, five sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Zion Lutheran church with Rev. Paul W. Ludwig officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the Zwick funeral home after 7 p.m. tonight and until 11 a.m. Friday, and from 12 noon Friday until time of the services at the church. Preferred memorials are to the Zion building fund.
