Son of Victor Corwin Hazlett and Catharine Tharp Hazlett. Married to Caroline. Father of Winnie, Sylvia, Goldie and Ada (or Addie) and Victor according to 1900 and 1910 census records.

Thanks to M. Jensen Seggerman for the following obituary:

JCharles Whitfield Hazlett, son of Victor C. and Catherine Hazlett, was born November 13, 1866, in Jersey City, N.J. His parents moved to Illinois and came to Nebraska in 1879, where they settle on a farm north of Exeter.

Mr. Hazlett spent some years in what was, at that time, Indian territory. He afterward moved to Colorado, where he made his home. He died October 21, 1932, six and one-half miles north of Laird, Col.

One daughter, Goldie, preceded him in death. Surviving him are his wife Etta Mae; two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Keenan of Wray, Col., and Mrs. Addie Houtman of Sheridan Lake Col.; one son, Victor C. Hazlett of Wray, Col; two brothers, Frank M. Hazlett of Laramie, Wyo., and Bert C. Hazlett of Livingston, Mont; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Higgenson of Green River, Wyo.

His father and mother, his daughter, Goldie and his brother Howard are interred in the Exeter Cemetery.

Mr. Hazlett was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge of Edmond, OK.

All of the relatives except one, who lives in Colorado, were on their way to the funeral but because of bad weather and impassable roads, were so delayed that they telegraphed it was impossible for them to be here for the service.

The funeral service was held in the Methodist Church of Exeter, in charge of Rev. F. L. Harris. Services at the cemetery were in charge of the Odd Fellow lodge of Exeter.
