WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rachel (Dudley) Zimmerman, 81, Washington, D.C., died Sunday, Oct. 18, 1992, at her residence. Born in Eckhart, Md., she was the daughter of the late Perry and Mary (Eckhart) Dudley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Zimmerman, in September 1992. Mrs. Zimmerman was a retired public school teacher. Surviving are two sons, James M. Zimmerman, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and William D. Zimmerman, Smithtown, N.Y.; two daughters, Mary Kennedy, Ridgewood, N.J.; and Edith Rice, Reston, Va.; one sister, Catherine Miller, Frostburg, Md.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Pumphrey’s Bethesda-Chevy Chase Funeral Home, Bethesda. Services will be conducted Wednesday at St. David’s Episcopal Church, Washington, D.C.
