OBITUARY


James Reneau


James Monroe Reneau, 81, of Jay, Oklahoma, died October 22, 2009, at Grove Integris Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma. Born August 11, 1928 in Amarillo, Texas, he was the son of Levest Hudson Reneau and Clara Belle Giles Reneau. James was a farmer and lived in the Maysville, Arkansas area for the past 16 years, having moved from Amarillo, Texas. He married Moira Jacqueline Thornhill in Amarillo on May 5, 1949. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Moira Reneau; one son, James Hudson Reneau; and one brother Buddie Reneau.
Survivors include three daughters, Clara Beaty and husband Wesley and Sheila Hartley, all of Jay, Oklahoma, and Madeleine Lewis of Decatur, Arkansas; one sister, Ermastein Burnette of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Russell Reneau and wife Jean of Amarillo, Texas and Robert Reneau and wife Sonya of N. Richland, Texas; eleven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Daymon Lewis, Brandon Young, Clinton Beaty, Junior Hartley, James Easterling, and James Hudson.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Arkansas, with Mr. Tim Estes officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2009, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. To sign the online guest book, visit www.wassonfuneralhome.com.
