Samuel Camerer, 75, died Saturday morning, Jan. 16, 1988, at Passavant Hospital.

He was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Eldred, a son of the late Edward and Cordelia Shaw Camerer. He married Beatrice Dale June 15, 1931, and she died Oct. 13, 1985.

He is survived by four daughters, Janet Stendeback of Jacksonville, Phyllis Whitlock of Metairie, LA., Kay Nichols of Mancester and Linda Tribble of Carrollton; two sons, Robert of Eldred and Charles of Scottville; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Foster of Tampa, Fla., and Ruby Hansen of Jerseyville; one brother, Eddie of Carrollton. He was preceded in death by one daughter and one grandson.

He was a member of Pipefitters Local 137 in Springfield.

Funeral services for Samuel Camerer were held Monday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. Rev. George Cowper officiated. Organist was Mrs. Lela Thien. Burial was in Memorial Gardens, Eldred.

Pallbearers were all grandsons, John Stendeback, Pat Stendeback, Bob Dubois, John, Rob and Jim Camerer.

Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.
