OBITUARY: Mrs. Sandra Kay "Sandy" Best
Mrs. Sandra Kay "Sandy" Best, 55, Elmont, was received into the arms of our Lord on Wed., June 15, 2005 at a Tulsa hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1949 in Topeka, a daughter of Edmond and Bertha Jane Linder.
Sandy graduated from Highland Park High School in 1967. She married Jerry Eugene Best, Sr. on Dec. 8, 1968. He survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Kay Vardy, Elmont; a son: Jerry E. Best, Jr., Topeka; a half-sister: Betty Ewert, Yarba Linda, CA; 8 brothers: Kenneth, Charles, Melvin, Larry, Keith, Marvin, Dale, and Jerry Wayne Linder all of Topeka; 5 grandchildren: Kandra Kay Vardy, Dawson James Vardy, Jordan Best, Justin Bergman, and Ashley Kilts all of Topeka; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a half-sister: Evelyn Phillips.
Funeral services will be2:00 p.m., Mon., June 20, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence.
Interment will be in Half-Day Cemetery, Elmont.
Sandy will lie in state after noon Sunday at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
