Presley Leonidas Altman, 81, of Andrews, the husband of Evalene Newton Altman, went to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon, June 1, 2009, at MUSC in Charleston.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, June 4 2009, at the Andrews Church of God. Interment will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 7-9 PM, Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at the church.

Mr. Altman, a son of William James Altman and Virginia Winston Altman, was born March 31, 1928, in Lake City. He was a retired salesman with Weston Auto, and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Presley and Evalene were married on March 29, 1954, and celebrated 55 years together. From their blessed union survives two sons, Presley Winston (Susan) Altman of Georgetown, and Steven Douglas (Stephanie) Altman of Andrews; five grandchildren, Nicholas Altman and MaKinley Altman, Melissa Driggers, Kerri Altman, and Dana Altman.

He was predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Vernie Grace Altman.
