Well Known Medora Man Dies Wednesday Night
Funeral Rites to be Held Sunday
George W. Wayman, age eighty-six, a well known Medora resident, died at his home there Wednesday night at 9 o'clock.
He had been in failing health for several years.
Mr. Wayman was born in Kentucky, but came to this vicinity when a young man and had lived at Medora since then. He was married at Medora to Elizabeth Wineinger, sixty-three years ago. He was a member of the Holiness Church at Medora and was one of that community's most outstanding and highly respected citizens.
In addition to the widow he is survived by six children: Mrs. J. H. Bartlett, Mrs. L. N. Brower, Mrs. F. E. Roemmel and William Wayman, of this city; Mrs. B. F. Beeler, of Indianapolis, and Kurt Wayman, of Medora. A sister, Mrs. Anna Ford, of this city, and sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Medora Holiness Church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. (Yes, the article reads Wednesday - later in the paper is a correction.)
Burial in the Heighton Hill Cemetery.

Obituary
Geo. W. Wayman, for many years a resident of this place, passed away at his home here Wednesday evening November 4, aged almost 86 years.He had been in poor health for several years, but had been seriously ill only a week and his death was unexpected.
Mr. Wayman was born at Covington, KY, January 13, 1850, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. E. Wayman. He came to this county when a young man, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a farmer by occupation and was a highly respected citizen in the community.
He was united in marriage at Medora, June 24, 1873, to Elizabeth Wineinger, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Wayman reached their 63rd year of maried life last June.
Surviving besides the widow, are two sons and four daughters. Curt of Medora, William, Mrs. J. H. Bartlett, Mrs. L. N. Brower and Mrs. Frank Roemmel of Seymour amd Mrs. B. S. (should be 'F.') Beeler of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Anna E. Ford, of Seymour, sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services in charge of the Rev. Jewel, were held at the Holiness Church, of which he was a member, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock.
Burial in the Heighton Hill Cemetery.

June 25 - Mr. and Mrs. George W. Wayman of this place observed their fifty-ninth wedding anniversary here yesterday.
Mr. Wayman was born near Independence, KY, and Mrs. Wayman was born near Medora. They have lived here since their marriage in Jackson County June 24, 1873.
Mr. Wayman is 81 years old. and Mrs. Wayman is 75.
They are the parents of five children, C. M. Wayman, Medora; Mrs. L. N. Brower, Mrs. Hermion Bartlett and Mrs. F. A. Roemmel, all of Seymour, and Mrs. Benjamin F. Beeler, Anderson.
They have twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
