Faye Davis Grogg
Mrs. Faye (KAMP) DAVIS [GROGG], 75, former Akron resident, died at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Alfran Nursing home in Warsaw where she had been a patient six months.
She was born Dec. 12, 1899 in Henry township to Ruben and Alfretta MOORE KAMP.
Her first marriage was Dec. 20, 1919 in Akron to Harley DAVIS. He died in 1930. Her second marriage was in 1948 to Theron GROGG. He died in 1952. She had lived most of her life in the Akron area and was a member of the Akron Brethren church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Juanita) PLUNKETT, Frankfort, and Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) CREAGER, North Manchester; three sons, Francis DAVIS of Akron, and Richard [DAVIS], R.R. 1, Claypool, and Marvin [DAVIS] of Warsaw; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel SMITH, Bremen; Mrs. Kathryn OVERLANDER and Mrs. Ed (Irene) WIDEMAN, both of Akron; three brothers, Robert KAMP, Wakarusa; Harvey and Forrest [KAMP], both of Akron. One son, four brothers and two sisters preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Sheetz funeral home in Akron. The Rev. Claude FAWNS will officiate. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
