Sheffield was a native of Grove Hill and resident of Saraland for 36 years. He was an Armed Forces veteran and a member of the
Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Duncan Sheffield; one aughter, Karen Sheffield of Louisville, Ky.; five sons, Larry Sheffield
of Saraland, Jerry Sheffield of Semmes, Wayne Sheffield, Johnnie Sheffield and Steve Sheffield, all of Satsuma; three sisters, Lillian
Andrews of Chickasaw, Mildred Starling of Citronelle and Margie Emmons of Fairhope; two brothers, William Clay Sheffield of Montgomery and David Sheffield of Chatom; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral is set for 10 a.m. today at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland with interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
