Sarah Linebrink, youngest child of Frederick and Jane Deepe, was born in Tiffin Township, Defiance County, Ohio, on September 1, 1843. The family consisted of father, mother, six daughters and two sons. She resided with her parents on the home farm until grown to young womanhood. She was united in marriage to Henry Linebrink August 26, 1869. They immediately began housekeeping on a farm in northeastern Tiffin Township and begin the building of a home of their own. To this union four children were born, two sons and two daughters: J. W. And Walter F. Linebrink, Sarah E. Stock and Mary E. Frank, residing near the old homestead. The father preceded the mother to death on January 23, 1884, at the age of 43. Also one son, Walter F. Linebrink, who departed this life on September 22, 1902 at 28 years of age. She became a Christian in her teens and united with the United Brethren Church in South Tiffin Township. When she was married and moved to a new home, she united with Tiffin River Class of the E. B. Church. She was always faithful in the discharge of her duty to the church and family. Failing health prevented her from attending church services at she would like to have done for several years. In 1912, she moved to her oldest daughter's home in northeast Tiffin where she resided until her death. She was in poor health for about eight years and for the last five years, she had been in constant care. She departed this life on Monday evening, August 8, 1921, after a long lingering illness, aged 72 years, 11 months and 8 days, leaving one son, J. W. Linebrink; two daughters, Sarah E. Stock and Mary E. Frank, all living on or near the old home; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Harry Deepe of Defiance; two sisters, Christina Carmony of Plymouth, Iowa; and Mary Ginrich of Pixley, California and other relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
