Obituary excerpts:

OSWALD CAREY, BRUSSELS
RESIDENT, DIES IN GRAFTON

Oswald Carey, 77, died this morning at 2 o'clock at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Frank Carey. He had come to Grafton from his home in Brussels the past week to be near his physician and died following an attack of asthma.

He is survived by six grown children, his wife having died several years ago. It will be necessary to take the body to his home in Brussels by way of the ferry at Hardin, as the Calhoun County ferry just above Grafton is not running because of heavy ice.

The children who survive are Henry, William, Theodore, Mrs. Elizabeth Jacobs, Mrs. Kate Held, and Mrs. Mamie Kirn.
