The daughter of John B. Keri*, Sr. and Theresa Stroup, "Lizzie" married Theodor Schobernd on 15 Nov 1883 in Calhoun County, Illinois. They were the parents of 6 children.

The family lived in Calhoun County for many years. Lizzie and Theodor moved to an 80-acre farm southeast of Jerseyville, Illinois in 1919. He died there in 1923.

Lizzie lived until 1925. She died at the home of her daughter, Theresa Vahle, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 8 days.

Lizzie was survived by 4 daughters; 1 son; and 9 grandchildren.

She was buried next to her husband, Theodor.

Obituary:

Mrs. Elizabeth Schoberand [sic] died Tuesday afternoon at 2:05 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Vahle. Mrs. Schobernd would have celebrated her 67 [sic] birthday anniversary on the 26th of February. She is the widow of Theodore [sic] Schobernd, who died May 8th, 1923.

Mr. and Mrs. Schobernd purchased an eighty-acre farm southeast of Jerseyville in 1919, and moved here from Calhoun County to be near their children.

The deceased is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John Vahle, Mrs. Edward Goetten, Mrs. John Gray and Mrs. Henry Ludwig and one son, William Schobernd, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial will be at Brussels, Calhoun County, where Mrs. Schobernd was born and raised.
