Visitation was held in Chicago at Drake & Son Guardian Chapel and burial was in Mound Cemetery, Cowden.
Mrs. Mazzetti was born August 12, 1916, near Bulpitt in Christian County, daughter of Ellis Prater and Lena Nance. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Basil Prater and Hester Ann Halford. Maternal grandparents were Joseph Nance and Viola McDaniel. All were from pioneer families, many of whose descendants still live in this area.
As a child and young woman, Lois Prater lived in Cowden, Decatur, and Waukegan. Finally she moved to Chicago, where, on May 20, 1944, she married Bruno Mazztti, a native of Cesarano, Italy. He died in 1986.
Survivors include daughter, Sherry Mazzetti of Chicago; and sister La Veda Andrews of Cowden, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Preceding her in death are brother, Thomas Prater; sisters, Opal Andrews and Eulah Bradshaw.
