Delbert D. Colvin Sr. "Papa" age 78, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.
A retired Supervisor with General Motors after 30 years of service. He loved fishing and camping.
Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Audrey "Chris" (nee Meade) Colvin; his children, Donna Hilgert, Cary (Diane) Colvin and Larry (Carol) Colvin; grandchildren, Kelley Hilgert, Shauna (Alan) Palmer, Manda Hilgert; Delbert III, Carla, Brian (Ashia), Carl and Joshua Colvin; Sheri, Kevin, and Jennifer Colvin; Sarah, Larry, Samantha, Zachary and Christopher Colvin; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Dunn and Pauline Stealey; one brother, Robert Colvin.
Preceded in death by one son, Delbert, Jr.; parents, Pearl and Rosa Anna (nee Uafer) Colvin; one sister, Selma Kesler; and one brother, Jackson Colvin.
Funeral Services for Delbert D. Colvin, Sr. will be Thursday, February 15, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel.
As it was Delbert's final request, Cremation Rites will be accorded following services.
Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery to follow at a later date.
Full military honors to be conducted by the United States Army.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
