FALFURRIAS -J T Allen 42 prominent Falfurrias businessman and manager of the Fal furrias Mercantile Feed Store died suddenly in the Alice hospital early Monday morning after a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the local Methodist Church with the Rev Seaborn Kiker pastor officiating assisted by the Rev Paul D Hanna pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Falfurrias Burial Park under the supervision of Moyer Mortuary of Alice. Company D Texas State Guard served as honor guard and honorary pallbearer. He is survived by his father T P Allan, a brother Roy Allan of Kerrville and three sisters Mis C A Wright Rocksprings, Mrs William Frazier Lordsburg, Mr. and Mrs. William Kincaid of Falfurrias. Born at Realitos, Texas he has been associated with the Falfurrias Mercantile Company for many years having begun his career there as a boy. Of late years he was manager of the Mercantile Feed Store. He has been active in the Falfurrias Fire Department the Texas Slate Guard and other civic affairs.
