HILLSBORO — Inez Raines, 82, of Bynum died Oct. 25, 2009, at a Hillsboro nursing home.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today in the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors chapel, 2495 Corsicana Highway in Hillsboro, with Rev. Vernell Nelson, Rev. Peter Zarate and Gabriel Manzanares officiating.

Burial follows in Mount Zion Cemetery in Midlothian. Daughter of Sidney and Erma Pearl (Clay) Wilson, she was born April 1, 1927, in Childress.

She grew up and attended school in Athens. On Feb. 14, 1973, she married Bill Raines in Dallas; he preceded her in death in February 1986.

Inez lived in Greenville for 17 years prior to moving to Hillsboro in March 1997 to be closer to her daughter. While living in Greenville she was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of God. Inez was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 769. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Etta Lou Levasser; brother A.T. Henry; and a granddaughter, Dana Diane.Survivors include a daughter, Cristyn Baker and husband Danny of Bynum; brother J.W. Wilson and wife Louise of Palestine; grandchildren Lee Prince and wife Stacey of Tulsa, Okla., Billy Moresco and wife Sheryl of Burleson, Shane Baker and wife Scarlette of Whitney, and Allie and Cade Baker of Whitney; and special companion Penney.
