Catherine C. George, 87, of Homer City (Buffington Township), died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
A daughter of Irvin and Grace O'Hara Hollenbaugh, she was born Oct. 7, 1916, in Punxsutawney. Mrs. George attended the Barkley Wesleyan Methodist Church. She resided in Buffington Township since 1941. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and camping.

Surviving are seven children, James and wife, Mildred, Homer City; Richard and wife, Emmogene, Vintondale; Caroline Michaels and husband Homer, Homer City; Er-nest A. and his wife, Carol, Homer City; Alice Sark an her husband, George, Wooster, Ohio; Zella Pearl Stalman and her husband, Larry, Homesville, Ohio; Earl L. and his wife, Lynn, Homer City; 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; one brother, Blair, Summersville, S.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman, in 1978; a granddaughter; a sister Blanche Michaels and a brother, Ira "Jake" Zimmerman.

Services were held Monday in Indiana, Revs. Ruth Moore, Rohn E. Stearns and James Neidich officiating. Interment was in the Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.
