Alice Ann Sark, 61, of Wooster, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, Mar. 13, 2007, following a four-year battle against cancer. She went peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. Services will be held Saturday, Mar. 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, 7067 Cleveland Rd., Wooster. Pastor Bud Olszewski will be officiating and internment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers of the Sark family include: George Sr., George Jr., Robert, Michael, Nicole, and Matthew. Alice was born Dec. 31, 1945, in Homer City, P.A to Herman and Catherine (Hollenbaugh) George. Her loving husband George Emerson Sark Sr. survives. They were united in marriage on February 8, 1964. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved to cook, enjoyed music, and loved watching her children and grandchildren grow up. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed laughter. She always loved having her family together. Her family and friends were her first concern, always putting others before herself, even throughout her illness. Surviving in addition to her husband George, are her children: George (Beverly) Sark Jr. of Wooster, Robert (Janet) Sark of Miramar, FL., Donna (Theo) Shirey of Wooster, and Jaimie Sark of Wooster; grandchildren, Michael Sark of Wooster, Nicole Sark of Wooster, La Tonya Shirey of Holmesville, Matthew Sark of Wooster, and Jessica Shirey of Wooster; sisters, Caroline (Homer) Michaels of Homer City, P.A., Zella (Larry) Stallman of Holmesville; brothers Arthur (Carol) George, Earl (Lynn) George, James (Mildred) George, all of Homer City, P.A., Richard (Emmogene) George of Vintondale, P.A., and Aunt Mildred George of Vintondale, P.A.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary (Nancy) Sark of London, Paul (Molly) Sark of Lancaster, Mike Sark of Lancaster, Linda Metcalf of Columbus, Ella Mae Strous of Circleville, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was welcomed into Heaven by her parents as well as her mother and father-in-law, Emerson and Wavolene Sark.
