William Peter Trombley, 58, of Chateaugay, who driving his car Wednesday night suffered a heart attack while near Chateaugay Lake, died at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at the Alice Hyde Hospital. He had not been ill before he was stricken with the coronary attack.
Mr. Trombley was born in Ellenburg Center, May 4, 1900, a son of the late Joseph Trombley and Amellia LaBombard Trombley of Ellenburg Center. He married the former Verconda Peets, Aug. 20, 1918, in a ceremony performed at Ellenburg Corners. She survives.
A resident of Ellenburg Center until 1935, Mr. Trombley then moved to Chateaugay and in July 1953, entered the employ of the Chateaugay Co-op, a position he held at the time of his death. Mr. Trombley was a farmer before he became associated with the Chateaugay Co-op.
Surviving, besides his wife, and mother are three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Vivan) Bilow of Westville, Mrs. Donald (Madora) Patnode of Chateaugay, and Miss Jean Ann Trombley at home; four sons, Eldon J. Trombley of Ellenburg Depot, Armond W. Trombley at home, Ross A. Trombley and Lloyd W. Trombley, both of Chateaugay; four sisters, Mrs. Eli (Edna) LaClair of Ellenburg Center, Mrs. George (Mamie) Miller of Churubusco, Mrs. Patrick (Malina) Whalen of Ellenburg Center and Mrs. Eli (Allien) Poupore of Churubusco; and 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is in repose at his late home.
