Pauline C. Miller

STANAFORD - Pauline C. Miller, 88, of Stanaford died Feb. 17, 1999, in Pine Lodge Nursing Center, Beckley, after a long illness.

She was a former Terry postmaster and a member of Stanaford Missionary Baptist Church, Orchard Valley Women's Club, the medical auxiliary of Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, the board of directors of Rural Acres Medical Clinic, the Community Action Committee, Raleigh County Sheltered Workshop and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Surviving: daughters, Janet Duncan of Ashland, Ky., Lynda Roelle of Ridgefield, Conn.; brothers, Herbert and Ronald Garten, both of Piney View, Randal Garten of Liberty, Mo.; sisters, Ruby Morris of Piney View, Wilda Holliday of Richmond, Va., Mary McCoy of Friendswood, Texas, Dana Hayes of Newport News, Va., Kitty Gill of Augusta, Ga.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Prosperity, with the Rev. Phillip Lilly and the Rev. Gene Hall officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
