Services for R. M. Glahn, 58, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Amity Christian church. Glahn, proprietor of a service station here, died of a heart attack Tuesday while on a fishing trip near Haystock rock, Pacific City. He had been out about 25 minutes when he complained of illness; death occurred before the boat reached shore.
With him on the fishing trip were his son, Tom, Jack Wilcox, Ralph Richter and Bob Johnson.
Glahn was born at Hagers Grove, Mo., in 1891 and married Grace Garnet in 1920. He served overseas during World War I. Also surviving are another son, Leon, Berkeley, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Richard Lorensen and Mrs. Eugene Schroeder, Amity; brother, Charles Glahn, Fresno, Calif., and three grandchildren.
Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial park. The Rev. William F. Morse will officiate.

GRAVESIDE RITES HERE FOR VETERAN
Graveside services for Russell Marion Glahn will be held at Evergreen Memorial park on Saturday under the direction of Walnut City Post, V.F.W. Mr. Glahn, late resident of Amity, passed away August 8 at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 12 days.
A veteran of World War I, Mr. Glahn was born October 26, 1891 in Hagers Grove, Mo. In 1920, he married Grace Garnett Glahn at Shelbyville, Mo. His widow survives him. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Other survivors are two sons, Leon C., Berkeley, Calif., and Thomas L., Amity; two daughters, Mrs. R.J. Lorenzen and Mrs. E.S. Schroeder, both of Amity; and a brother, Charles Glahn, Fresno, Calif. Also listed are three grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be held at the Church of Christ in Amity at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Macy and Son in charge.
