-SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR LONG-TIME NOVELTY FARMER
Funeral services for Julius S. Glahn, a Knox County farmer for forty years, who died Saturday morning at his home west of Novelty, were held Monday afternoon at the Novelty Christian Church. Burial was in the Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville. Mr. Glahn was 70 years old. He had been in failing health for a year, and for the last four months he was bedfast.
Mr. Glahn was a son of Henry and Elizabeth (Price) Glahn and was born July 18, 1878 in Shelby County, near Hagers Grove. On Oct. 25, 1899, he was married to Miss Eva L. Ramsey. Two children were born to them. He was an active member of the Novelty Christian Church, serving as an elder and Bible class teacher for forty years. He had lived for forty years on the farm where he died.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Miss Noma Blanche Glahn of Kansas City, and Bernice, Mrs. M.C. Hennington of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Russell Glahn of Amity, Oregon, and Charles Glahn of Fresno, California; sixteen nephews and four nieces.
