The marriage of this couple produced two children: Dennis S. Baker, Utica, and Donna K. Riggle, Jeffersonville. Helen also had a second daughter, Sharon Rose (Broy) Hess, Utica, from a previous marriage with John Robert Broy, Utica.
Helen died Wednesday, 07 Oct 2009, at the Clark Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Horton "Cap" Hall and Viola Elizabeth "Sissy" Hall, her husband, Jonas "Junior" Baker, Jr., two brothers, Charles Edward "Hunky" Hall, Sr.and Joseph Herman Hall, both of Utica, and two sisters, Agnes Lee Bottorff and Frances Marie McKinney, both of Jeffersonville.
As with a great many Halls from Utica, Helen was laid to rest by the Coots Funeral Home of Jeffersonville, Indiana. The funeral took place on Monday, 12 Oct 2009 at Coots, and the interment took place immediately thereafter at Utica's Hillcrest Cemetery, where many of her family are already interred there. She was buried next to her husband of many years, "Junior" Baker.
In addition to her three children, survivors include her son-in-law, Nick Hess, Utica; a brother, James "Tunney" Hall Sr. and his wife, Kathy, of Jeffersonville; four grandchildren, Suzanne Morrison, Tim Hess, Rebecca Wheatbrook and Amanda Kayrouz; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
