Albert Wesley Goble, 82, of 1844 Main street, Fortuna, died Monday night at a Fortuna hospital.

Born April 22, 1875, in Ferndale, he was a member of the pioneer William and Mary (Ferrill) Goble family. In earlier years he was a buttermaker for Golden State Creamery. Later he owned a dairy ranch and store in Fortuna. He retired about 20 years ago.

He was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West for 53 years and a retired Fortuna volunteer fireman.

His wife, Jessie Miller Goble, whom he married on October 23, 1901, died February 14, 1933.

Survivors are a son, Harry Goble, Fortuna; grandchildren, Ronald, U. S. Army, New York; Robert and Darlene Goble, David, Karen and Linda Ainsley, all of Fortuna; two greatgrandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Frank (Kate) Flint, Mrs. Joseph (Stella) Early, Ferndale, Mrs. Archibald (Laura) Morrison, Port Kenton, Mrs. William (Esther) Remley, Mrs. Ernest (Gertrude) Wahl, Fortuna, Mrs. Albert (Amy) Davenport, Myrtle Point, Oregon; brothers, Ferrill Goble of Orland and Clyde V. (Gladys) Goble of Fortuna and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services for Albert Wesley Goble of Fortuna will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of Goble's Fortuna mortuary.

The Rev. Ole Winter will officiate with interment in Sunset Memorial Park, Eureka. Graveside rites will be under the auspices of Ferndale parlor, 93, Native Sons of the Golden West.
