Emery Clarence Goble, 60, of Route 4, Box 181, husband of Iva Doss Jewell Goble, died this morning at 7:45 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Doss at 422 I street where he had been staying for the past few days. Failing health since Christmas, his death was attributed to a heart ailment.
Born in Ferndale, California, Goble had lived in Humboldt county for many years and about two years ago claimed Mrs. Jewell as his bride. The couple later moved to Petaluma.
He was the father of Bruce Goble of Anderson, California, and the late Joseph Goble, children of a previous marriage; and the grandfather of Linda, Barbara, Jean and Sallie Lou Goble; and the brother of Kate Flint, Laura Morrison, Stella Early, Ferndale; Albert Goble, Esther Remley, Gertrude Wahl, Fortuna; Clyde Goble, Shasta; Amy Davenport, Myrtle Point and Farrell Goble. The body has been removed to the John C. Mount chapel. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Emery Clarence Goble was born October 10, 1883 in Ferndale, Humboldt County, California. (per his WWI draft registration record). He was a son of the late William W. and Mary Ferrill Goble.
He died March 30, 1944 at Petaluma, Sonoma County, California. He was married to Lucina Knight September 17, 1910 in Coos County, Oregon. They had two sons, Bruce K (Marjorie) Goble and Purcy C Goble. He was married second, in 1942, to Ivy Jewell.
