MRS. MEAD DIES AT CEDAR FALLS

Mrs. Frances Ella Mead, 94, a resident of Cedar Falls for the past 20 years, died here Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Stockdale, 2222 Olive Street, of complications incident to advanced age. Born Frances Ella Goodsell, May 10, 1854, the daughter of William and Clarence Goodsell in Pennsylvania, she was married to Rollin P. Mead, Nov. 11, 1873, at Bristow, Ia. They moved to Aplington, Ia., where they had a farm. Mr. Mead preceded her in death in September, 1906. Mrs. Mead moved to Cedar Falls in 1928.

Survivors include two sons, Herbert A., 924 Burton avenue, and Arthur R., 401 Walnut court; one daughter, Mrs. Stockdale, and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mead was a member of the Presbyterian church. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Presbyterian church at Aplington, Rev. Gene Siekmann, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery there. The body will be at the Dahl funeral home here until 11:00 a.m. Friday.
