He was born in South Keosauqua about 69 years ago, a son of Mr. And Mrs. William Cocherell, and is survived by his wife, Grace Bennett Cocherell; one son, Willard Cocherell of Bonaparte; two grandsons, Willard Jr., and Glenn Cocherell of Bonaparte; his mother, Josephine Cocherell of Keosauqua and one brother, Curtis Cocherell, also of Keosauqua.
By trade he was a stone mason, but by avocation a violin player familiarly known as "Fid." His health had been failing for several months.
Funeral services Thursday afternoon at two o'clock at Bonaparte Presbyterian church.
