She was born May 20, 1880, at Auburn, N.Y., the daughter of James and Mary Ann Pinkstone Bennett. She married Arthur Cocherell Sept. 27, 1899, at Keosauqua. She was a member of the Bonaparte Presbyterian church.
Surviving are a brother, James Bennett of Lacon, Ill.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 5 at the Bonaparte Presbyterian church with the Rev. Edward Maus officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery.
