Funeral services will be held Tuesday for William F. Diedrich, 85, of R. 1 Chilton, who was dead on arrival at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, shortly after noon Saturday after being stricken with an apparent heart attack.
The Rev. Aloysius Knier, pastor, will be celebrant of the 10:30 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Elizabeths Catholic Church, Kloten, preceded by services at 10 a.m. at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Chilton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Born in the Town of Stockbridge on January 11, 1884, Mr. Diedrich was a son of the late Peter and Catherine Diedrich, and married the former Brigetta Preissner on November 21, 1907 at St. Elizabeths Catholic Church, Kloten. She died May 21, 1959.

Mr. Diedrich, a farmer and carpenter until his retirement 10 years ago, was a former treasurer for the Town of Stockbridge and supervisor on the Calumet County Board. He also was a former trustee of St. Elizabeths Catholic Church, Kloten, and a member of the Holy Name Society of the parish.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ray (Rose) Ecker of R. 3. Chilton; Mrs. Hilary (Monica) Ecker of R. 1. Chilton; Mrs. Marvin (Marion) Amel of R. 1, Malone; and Mrs. Howard (Dorothy) Rather of Fond du Lac; six sons, Hugo of R. 1 Chilton; Leo of Fond du Lac; Nick (Jake) and William Jr., both of Chilton; Robert of Oconto Falls and Leonard of R 1 Malone; 27 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Joseph of the Toth Nursing Home, Chilton.

Three brothers, one sister and one grandchild preceded him in death.
