Doris M. Jaycox (nee Kelly), 81, retired Elyria bank secretary, died Friday at her daughter's hone in El Paso, Texas, after a long illness.
Born in Elyria, she lived 77 years in Henrietta Township before moving to El Paso in August 1991.
Mrs. Jaycox retired in 1972 after 13 years as a bank secretary at the main office of Elyria Savings and Trust.
She was a member of Henrietta United Church of Christ, Henrietta Grange, Ohio State Grange, National Grange and Retired Bank Women's Club.
Mrs. Jaycox was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin L., on Dec. 21, 1980, after 41 years of marriage; and a brother, Lester Husted.
Family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, where the Rev. Paul D. Eaton will conduct 1 p.m. services Tuesday.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst. Memorials may be made to the church.
