Leah Fern (Buckner) Franklin was born February 5, 1910, to Charlie and Cora Buckner in Ozark. She passed from this life in Selma, Calif., on Jan. 27, 2003, at the age of 92 years, 11 months, 22 days. She was a homemaker. Local survivors include her brother, Guy Buckner, of Ratcliff and three sisters of Ozark, Inez Wisdom, Farris Smith and Mary Skelton. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Cemetery Ridge, next to her husband, William B. Franklin.
