He was retired Shipping Clerk for Tyson Food, a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of Roseville Baptist Church. He was born December 1, 1922 in Hills Chapel Franklin County, Arkansas to Charley and Cora Acord Buckner. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; five sisters; and two grandsons, Cevin Mantooth and Casey Thomas.
Guy is survived by his wife of seventy years, Caroline O’Bar Buckner of Ratcliff; a daughter, Carolyn Mantooth of Paris, Arkansas; three sons, Lindel Buckner and wife Jackie of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Richard Buckner and wife Maria of Laredo, Texas, and Randy Buckner and wife Tammy of Paris; a sister, Mary Skelton of Ozark; and seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 8, 2018 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Clyde Vire officiating and burial at Carpenter Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
