Lila was born November 21, 1928, at Grand Island, Nebraska to Harry and Lillie (Baasch) Scheel.

Lila grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska graduating from Grand Island, Nebraska Senior High, class of 1946.

She was united in marriage to Maynard A. Boltz on June 15, 1947. Following their marriage, the couple made Grand Island, Nebraska their home.

Lila was employed for the City of Grand Island, Nebraska in billing.

She was very involved in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts when her children were young and enjoyed traveling with her husband over the years. She liked ceramics, sewing, decorating cakes for her grandchildren and made jelly for Stuhr Museum.

Survivors of the immediate family include her husband of 62 years, Maynard Boltz of Grand Island, Nebraska ; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Judy Boltz of Grand Island, Nebraska; daughter, Karen Autrey of Lincoln, Nebraska; and a brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Fern Scheel of Apple Valley, California.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Aldeen and Lester Baasch.
