W. D. Foltz was born near Slanesville, W. Va., August 13, 1855. He passed from this life at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ashby Wolford, December 7, 1938, aged 83 years. For years he had been a member of the Christian Church and was always a staunch defender of the faith. All six of his children were with him at the time of his passing.
Funeral services were held in the Zion Church where he was a member. Interment was in the cemetery of Salem Church where many of his relatives are laid to rest. Services were conducted by Wilbur A. Reid and J. O. Patterson.
