Melvin J. (Med) Benson, 76, Ioka, was killed Thursday, 6:50 p.m., when thrown from his tractor as it was struck by a car.
Born Jan. 10, 1886, Woodland, Summit County, to John J. and Lois Turnbow Benson. Married Rachel Smith June 10, 1915, Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After her death, married Eliza Robison. She died in 1959. Farmer, Member, LDS Church.

Funeral Monday, 1 p.m. Ioka Ward chapel. Friends call Olpin Mortuary, Roosevelt, Sunday afternoon and evening. Monday, 10 a.m. to time of services at the Russell Robison home, Ioka. Burial Ioka Ward Cemetery.
