Funeral services for Mrs. Veva Murphy Penrod, 46, of Pittsburgh, former Crooksville resident, were held at the Cannon and Cannon Funeral Home at Crooksville this afternoon with Rev. Margaret Sager, pastor of the Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Crooksville Cemetery. Mrs. Penrod died Monday morning at her home.
She is survived by her husband George; a son, Private Eugene Penrod serving in China; two brothers, Dallas and Alva Murphy of Elwood, Indiana; two half-sisters, Mrs. Lily McPeak of Roseville and Mrs. Pearl Ripley of Zanesville and her step-father, Lee Goff of Zanesville.
