Reber Lane Hawkins, 82, Ulman, died Tuesday at Eldon Healthcare Center. He was born Dec. 4, 1911, at Brumley, the son of Roy and Susie Jones Hawkins. He was married March 15, 1934, to Faye McClain, who survives in Eldon. A farmer and cattleman, he worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and was a corrections officer at the Missouri Penitentiary.
Other survivors include one daughter, Danita Hawkins,Brazito; three sons, Kenneth Hawkins, Ballwin, Larry Hawkins, Merrit Island, Fla., and Gary Hawkins, Brumley; two sisters, Norma Hedges, Camdenton and Maudine Edwards, Ulman; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach. The Rev. Lee Todd and the Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Gott Cemetery near Ulman. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. today. Memorials are suggested to the Christian Church in Brumley.
