Near York, Pa. on the 25th of ult., Mr. Peter Strine, father of Mathias Strine of this borough, aged 88 years, 10 months. Leaving a wife and 10 children to mourn his loss – 39(?) great grandchildren and 65 grandchildren. He was married and lived upwards of 61 years with his late wife.

Charles Strine, executor of the estate of Peter Strine, late of Conewago Township, York County, filed a $100 administrators bond on November 10, 1834.

Inventory, December 2, 1834

Inventory valuation of the personal property of Peter Strine, deceased, late of Conewago Township, made on November 14, 1834 and filed with the court on December 2, 1834. Personal property and notes totals $235.52.

Charles Strine, administrator of the estate of Peter Strine, deceased, filed a bond in the sum of $2000. There is a balance in the personal estate of $3.86. There are yet debts existing against the estate to the amount of $66.97 as follows: Note due Jacob Fink of $20.20, two notes due George Aughenbaugh of $37.05, Simon Aughenbaugh seed grain paid by petitioner of $9.72. The deceased left land in Conewago Township containing 83 acres and eleven perches, bounded by the lands of George Aughenbaugh, John Fink, and the town of Mount Pleasant, commonly called Strinestown. The deceased has no personal assets to pay the unsatisfied debts except the land. The administrator asked the court order the sale of the real estate to pay the debts.

Charles Strine reports the sale of the real estate of Peter Strine, deceased, to Henry Hantz for the sum of $800.50. Two thirds of the money is to be paid April 1, 1837. The other third is to remain a lien during the life of the widow of the deceased, the interest to be paid to her annually on April 1st.

Account of Charles Strine, administrator of Peter Strine, dec'd of Conewago Township, York County, PA reports $3.86 balance from prior report, proceeds of $800.50 from sale of property to Henry Hantz and notes the following distributions of $327 previously made by the deceased as follows - Martin Strine - $32, Mathias Strine - $110, Peter Strine - $50 and John Strine - $135. After deducting costs of $90.55, the balance remaining is $1,040.81, which includes the $327 of advances and the $266.83 lien for the widow.
