CLINTON, SC - Claude H. Ward, age 76, of 403 Jefferson St., and widower of Nellie D. Ward, died Wednesday, Dec. 5th in the N.H.C. of Clinton.
He was born in Henderson County, N.C. and was the son of the late A.E. and Nora Summey Ward.
Mr. Ward was retired from Clinton Mills; was a Baptist by faith and was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany, Normandy and Europe where he received the Bronze Star for heroic achievement.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with interment in Rosemont Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home. — Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is in charge of arrangements.
