Chloie Ruth Ham was born at home in the rural community of Nesbit four miles southeast of Senath, Missouri on Oct. 6, 1897.
She passed a high school academic rating test for a teaching certificate and she then taught two terms in the Nesbit school system.
At a very early age, she became a member of the Harkey's Chapel Methodist Church and remained a faithful and loyal supporter of her church until her death.
She married Alva Edison "Boss" Hardin in Paragould, Ark. on Aug. 18, 1914.
Their working years were spent in farming in the Nesbit Community.
Upon their retirement, they moved to Chula Vista, Calif. where they spent their remaining years.
