Funeral services for Anton Karls 67, who died at his home in the town of Brothertown Tuesday afternoon, will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the residence and at 10 o'clock at Holy Trinity church, Jericho, the Rev. Francis Herman officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
He was born February 8, 1873 at Johnsburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Karls. On January 28, 1896 he married Gertrude Pauly at St Charles church, Charlesburg.
Survivors are his widow, five daughters and four sons, Mrs. Clemence (Rose) Stenz, Johnsburg; Mrs. Isadore (Magdaline) Watry, St. Anna; Mrs. Michael (Ella) Buechel, Mrs. Lloyd (Catherine) Thuecks, Jericho; Mrs. Henry (Gertrude )Pethan, Charlesburg; Edward of Marytown; Norman of Jericho; John of Chilton; and Michael at home, his aged mother, Mrs. Christine Karls Johnsburg; 32 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs John Daun of Johnsburg and Mary of Fond du Lac; and five brothers; Math of Marytown; Jacob of New Holstein; Petre of Charlesburg; Nick of Stockbridge; and John of Johnsburg.
