John Wayne Berry was the second child of John Wyatt and Nancy Margaret Newman Berry. He was likely born in the Campbell community. John was married to Lydia L. Fuller 18 November 1896 in Searcy County, Arkansas. They were the parents to 8 children, Ellison John Houston (my Grandfather), Oscar, Sibyl L., Ulyes S. and Ina Virginia Berry; and three children who died as infants. John and Lydia divorced in about 1923. He remained on one of his two farms near Leslie; Lydia and the children lived on the other farm until just before 1930. Lydia moved to Washington Co, Arkansas as did her children.
