HERMISTON - Mariam Phyllis Tucker, 88, of Hermiston died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Regency Hermiston Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hermiston. At her request, no services will be held. Disposition was by cremation. A private family inurnment will be held at the Enterprise Cemetery.
Mrs. Tucker was born Nov. 20, 1920, in Enterprise to Roy M. and Una (Long) Thompson. She was raised in Enterprise and graduated from high school there in 1939. In May of 1939 she married Gilbert Conrad in Lewiston, Idaho; they later divorced. In 1955 she married Everett M. Tucker in Winnemucca, Nev. They lived in Enterprise from 1959 until 1991, when they moved to Hermiston. They moved to McMinnville and to Enterprise again before finally returning to Hermiston in 2002. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Everett M. Tucker of Hermiston; son Don R. Conrad of Irrigon; stepson Dennis R. Tucker of McMinnville; stepdaughter Anita Wirth of Pendleton; brother Roy Gene Thompson of Warrenton; sister Cleo Shearer of Lewiston, Idaho; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Gilbert Conrad in 1982; and stepdaughter Kay Ann Wilson.
Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
