Mrs. Duke was a resident of Borger for the past 14 years, and a member of the Tenth Street Baptist Church of Borger. She came here from Burkburnett, Texas, where she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. N.O. Pierson, St. Jo, Tex., Mrs. Ralph Dobkins, Borger, and Mrs. Ed Alexander, Phillips; one son, J.E. Duke, Borger; two foster children, Robert Journagin, Eunice, N. Mex., and Mable Wells, Tucumcari, N. Mex.; seven sisters, Mrs. George Browder, Graham, Mrs. H.O. Hutchison, Odessa, Mrs. Ed Robertson, Rule, Mrs. S.V. Jennings, Rule, Mrs. W.A. Jacobs, Electra, Mrs. Lester Blackerby, Breckenridge, and Mrs. Pauline McMurtray of Fort Worth; two brothers, R.D. Alexander, Rule, and J.J. Alexander, Pampa; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Tenth Street Baptist Church, Borger, with Rev. Jack Venable, assisted by the Rev. Winfred Moore of the Borger First Methodist Church, officiating.
Pallbearers include Ollie Metzger, Chester Morris, Loy Frogge, Nelson McKinney, Harold Harris, Raymond Horton, Talbert Aulds and Arthur Weinstine.
Honorary pallbearers are Leonard Moxom, Johnson Burney, Jim Miller, Milton Ford, Nelson Crome, Buck Goodwin, Earl Lindsey, Howard Rawlings and Ray Ragland.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Borger.
